8 Things to do/see in Ibiza

A lot of people see Ibiza as a bit of a party island as it is well known for its lively nightlife yet a lot don’t realise how beautiful the island actually is and how much there is to do.

This post is part of a paid campaign to promote the Balearic and Canary Islands, as part of their #SpanishIslands Campaign. Although all views are my own and I have not been instructed what to include.

High season is usually from June – September where the island is at its hottest and full of tourists. I actually most recently visited off season in April and was pleasantly surprised with the weather as it was still around 20 degrees but was so much quieter than what I imagined.

10 Things to do/see while visiting Ibiza

1. Visit Cala Tarida
On the western side of the island, Cala Tarida is a beach resort with gorgeous beaches, clear water and lovely restaurants but with less crowds! Must visit if you like beach days!

2. Visit Café Mambos for dinner and sunset
Café Mambos is located in Sant Antoni along the sunset strips and has built a name for itself for its great food, lively atmosphere and magical sunsets!

3. Visit one of the ‘Instagrammable’ hotels
There seems to be a lot of new hotels opening in Ibiza that are Instagram perfect in every way! One huge chain is Concept hotel group which include hotels like The Tropicana suites, Santos, Paradiso and Dorado. They are all gorgeous and when in Ibiza we actually visited 2 of them without booking a stay as you are able to book pool passes for the day and enjoy all facilities. It is perfect if you are hoping for a relaxing pool day or is a great idea if your budget doesn’t quite cut the hotel stay but you wish to visit.

4. Visit Dalt Vila
Worth taking a couple of hours to visit the beautiful old town with winding narrow streets and take a stroll to the top for the views across the bay. You can also visit the cathedral, drawbridge and there are plenty of options to stop for lunch/dinner.

5. Visit one of the big hotels for a concert
If you get chance, book to see a concert at one of the big hotels like Ibiza rocks, Ushuaia or Hard Rock. Big artists and dj’s perform including the likes of Craig David, Rudimental, Calvin Harris and it will be an evening not to forget.

6. Kayaking/Paddle boarding
If you are looking for something a little different and are like me and love spending as much time on the beach and in the sea then check out Kayak-Ibiza, they do daily activities and kayaking tours which are so much fun!

7. Es Vedra Rock
You can either drive or view Es Vedra by boat, If driving when parking on the main lane it is around a 10-15 minute walk to the cliff where you will get gorgeous views of Es Vedra, if you go to the top of the mountain you will be able to see the pirate tower too. One of the most popular times to visit is during sunset as the views are gorgeous however it is worth visiting any time of day!

8. Waterpark
If you are visiting with your family and are looking for a fun day out then I would suggest visiting Aguamar water park where you can easily spent half a day on the slides, in the pools and grabbing lunch. The park tickets are around 20 euros per person.

There are a million other things to do while visiting Ibiza and it is the perfect island for couples, friends and families! There are also lots of great restaurants, bars and tour options you can book.
